two young hunters found dead

In the night of January 22 to 23, 2025two young hunters, aged 20 and 21, have been found dead in a gabion in the Cotentin and Bessin Marshes Regional Natural Park in Saint-Fromond (Manche).

It was relatives who were worried about not having any news from them who alerted the relief.

THE firefighters from Saint-Jean-de-Daye went to the site. Unfortunately, they were only able to note the death of the two men.

The preferred accidental origin

THE gendarmes from the Saint-Jean-de-Daye brigade also went to the scene.

They opened a investigation. The accidental thesis would be privileged.

And body exam must be performed to clarify the causes of death.

According to a source close to the investigation, the exhaust from a motor pump used in the gabion, and therefore carbon monoxide poisoning, could be the cause of the tragedy.
