What is this series that rapper Prince de Rue is going to film in Champagnole?

The rapper Prince de Ruewho left fifteen years ago for Marseille to pursue his musical career, will beand return in February in Champagnole, his hometown, for a whole new project: a series.

Titled Corruptthis series of seven episodes will be a political thriller. “It is 2025. Everything was going well in Champagnole, until the former mayor delegated his place to a new corrupt mayor. In his past he did some not very clear things in the south of Francein Marseille,” says David Faivre, alias Prince de Rue.

« The town of Champagnole then plunges into chaosthe shops then the market close… and then it's a series of twists and turns whose mystery will revolve around the youthful mistakes of this mayor ».

Local actors

To find the different actors for his series, Prince de Rue organized a casting call. Out of the sixty applications, he selected seventeen amateur actors.

“These are people who come from Champagnole, but also from Lons-le-Saunier, Dole… and even Besançon since it is Philippe Barrel, from Bisontin, who will play the role of the corrupt mayor,” indicates the artist, who will play a role himself.

We can also find Ludovic Maréchalamateur actor who made multiple appearances in films and short films which have the region as their setting, including recently in the film A bear in the Juraby Franck Dubosc.

Stars in the casting?

If the classic casting is over, Prince de Rue still has the ambition to find some “famous guest stars surprises ».

“We are trying to bring in famous politicians like Bruno Lemaire, Alain Juppé… I have a good network with my brand, I have met quite a few artists. We contacted them but many are busy with other projects…”.

Once filmed, the series will be available on the Youtube channel “Corrupted the Series”.
