the onshore passage of the RTE cable continues to make waves

The work continues and, after the creation of the two landing sites at the foot of the dunes of Seignosse and Capbreton, it is now inland that the path is progressing, requiring motorists to put in place diversions for several months.

“Slow down the construction site”

On January 16, an expulsion of the “perched” activists by specialized teams from the gendarmerie marked a hardening of the tone in the case. The prefect of Landes, Françoise Tahéri, relied on the legal decision rendered by the court to carry out this manu militari expulsion. The activists, for their part, are seeking to slow down the construction site by all means: “As with the summary judgment on the A 69, our action also aims to slow down the work and give more time to justice,” explained one activists expelled last week.

On the side of justice, RTE complied with the various injunctions of the court, such as that of carrying out an impact study on underwater life, while the electricity transmission company used sonars to the needs of laying the cable in its submerged section.
