Senegal and Morocco join forces to

Adoption of the draft decree authorizing the President of the Republic to ratify the Convention signed on December 17, 2004 in Rabat, between the Government of the Republic of Senegal and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco.

This Convention aims to establish a reinforced legal framework for cooperation between the two States in criminal matters. It specifically concerns two essential aspects: on the one hand, legal assistance for detained persons in order to guarantee their rights and their protection throughout the procedure, and on the other hand, the transfer of convicted persons, allowing for them to serve their sentence in their country of origin. This initiative is part of an approach to respecting human rights, facilitating cross-border legal procedures and strengthening bilateral relations between Senegal and Morocco.
