Projects despite uncertainties

Nedde. Projects despite uncertainties. It was in the municipal hall of Nedde that the vows ceremony was pronounced last week, by Monique Lenoble, mayor of the town.

Like every year, this ceremony offers residents the opportunity to come together to hear the mayor's speech and to talk with each other. Contrary to usual, she chose to focus on the various projects that will be carried out during the year while referring the public to the municipal newspaper “La Sève” to see past achievements.

The major construction site at Maison Couégnas

Firstly, she mentioned the work which will soon begin in the Maison Couégnas (important house near the municipal park and the library/association house). The interior will be renovated to accommodate the health center supported by the community of municipalities and an activity room on the ground floor. The first floor will be transformed to create two duplexes. In order to reduce heat islands, it is planned that the surrounding area will be planted with vegetation, up to the library/association center. This area will be pedestrianized with the use of permeable ground materials; traffic will therefore be modified. This work should receive funding from the state, the region and Petr, leaving the municipality to invest part of the costs. The municipal council opted for borrowing in order to keep funds available (one loan is short term, the other is longer).

Other work could see the light of day and be partly financed by the Department; Monique Lenoble asked Jean-Claude Leblois, president of the Departmental Council, to come and explain the current situation. As a reminder, departmental subsidies for municipalities are generally decided during Territorial Departmental Committees (CDT) which are held at the start of the year. However, as the president said, the financial situation of the departments is constrained because the national budget has not yet been finalized and the costs of social assistance for children have multiplied. As he says, the state asks a lot and “if we break the territories, we break everything. »

She then explained that the bakery which had been entirely created with several financial supports will be sold to current bakers after having been appraised by three different experts. Five years ago, the municipality had counted on the fact that the bakery would continue and the proof is that it was right given the customers who stop there.
