Detained in Germany, Mohamed Boudrika stripped of his mandate as deputy by the Constitutional Court

In its verdict, the Constitutional Court relied on a request from the President of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi Alami, who informed the institution that Mohamed Boudrika, then quaestor of the House, had been absent for more than one year “without valid reason”.

Rachid Talbi Alami invoked article 12 of organic law 27-11 relating to the House of Representatives.

As a result, the Court declared the Al Fida Mers Sultan deputy seat in Casablanca vacant. This mandate should, in principle, be awarded to the second candidate on the electoral list for this Casablanca constituency.
