A new baker and a microcrèche expected in Livernon in 2025

While the inauguration of the heart of the village and the new town hall is due to take place next March, the year 2025 opens with optimism in Livernon with many new projects on the horizon. The mayor, Jacques Coldefy, gave an update on the programs undertaken in the town during the traditional greeting ceremony which took place on Saturday January 18, in the village hall, in the presence of many residents. “A very important item concerns the development and maintenance of roads. An investment program took place in 2024 with Grand Figeac and a maintenance program for all our municipal roads. The same efforts will be renewed in 2025,” said the elected official who announced good news to his constituents.

First, the reopening of the village bakery, closed for several months after the retirement of Annie and Jean-Luc Larroquette, is confirmed. Other local businesses could also set up. The activity zones are doing well, like the Coupille zone and the all-occupied areas of the activity clearing. “The community of municipalities is resolutely moving forward with the extension project,” welcomed Jacques Coldefy. The development work should begin in the second half of 2025.” Grand Figeac has indeed voted for an investment of €1.5 million for the Livernon area.

Another intercommunal project: the microcrèche which should see the light of day in 2025 behind the medical office.

In the heart of the town, a fundamental study was carried out last year on the Oasis concerning the circuit of fountains and the geological history of the site. Marking should be put in place.

The first plots of land will soon be put on sale at the ecobarri

To accommodate new residents, accommodation must be redeveloped on the first floor of the old town hall. On the ecobarri side, the sale of the first lands will finally begin.

In the spring, a municipal protection plan will be launched. Public meetings by sector will be organized. Finally, studies will be undertaken to conceal the networks on the road from Reyrevignes to the emergency center. At the same time, the public lighting connection will be made in the hamlet of Bertrandy.

After thanking the work and dedication of elected officials and municipal agents, the mayor gave the floor to Cathy Prunet, town hall secretary who spoke as vice-president of the department. Even if she did not hide the very difficult budgetary context for the Lot, she highlighted the assets and treasures of the territory, of which she recalled the exceptional character recognized as Geopark by the UNESCO global label.
