Moselle: building permit in sight for an 850 million euro project

The order relating to the environmental authorization for the HoloSolis project will be signed at the Moselle prefecture on Friday January 24 at the same time as the building permit. The latter concerns the mega-factory project for the production of photovoltaic cells and panels in Hambach. The unit, the result of an investment of 850 million euros, should be operational from 2026. Supported by a European consortium and chaired by Jan Jacob Boom-Wichers, the HoloSolis company plans to employ 1,900 employees and generate 10 million of panels per year for a power of 5.1 GW from 2028.
