Manchester City completes the departure of an executive before PSG!

As Manchester City prepares to face Saint-Germain in the Champions League in a decisive match in the race for the play-offs, the English club has completed a crucial file behind the scenes: the departure on loan of Kyle Walker. The iconic Citizens captain, aged 34, will join AC Milan on a one-year loan, as claimed by the English tabloid The Sun. The move ends his eight-season spell at the Etihad, where he racked up 17 major trophies, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League. After rejecting tempting offers, notably from Saudi Arabia, the full-back opted for a new challenge in Italy, while maintaining the hope of reaching 100 caps with the England team.

Walker arrives, not Rashford

Pep Guardiola recently confirmed that the English defender wants to explore opportunities abroad, after triumphant seasons marked by the historic treble in 2023. Although his exit leaves a significant void in the City squad, the Spanish technician welcomed Walker's invaluable impact, while respecting his decision. The move to Milan also ends rumors of the Rossoneri's interest in Marcus Rashford, constrained by Serie A's strict rules on recruiting British players. Walker, who should be presented in his new colors in the coming days, says he is “excited for this new chapter”. A page is turning for City, a few hours before a crucial duel against PSG.
