To the Castle room of Valognes (Manche), will take place Saturday January 25, 2025 at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m., a lottointended for raise funds pour help financially a village community in Atchangbade, near Kara in Togohas finish building a school.
On the occasion of this lottery, there will also be a raffle et a craft sale. The first batch will be a voucher of 400 euros at Intermarché, the second batch, a shopping cart worth 150 euros, the third lot will be a bicycle and the fourth, a voucher for 100 euros at Motin, and many other prizes.
Projects that are multiplying
Created in 2018the Alafia association's first objective was to create a cultural space artemisia, a plant intended for treat malaria. Then, little by little, the needs extended to digging a borehole to bring drinking water to the village in 2019.
The following year, the village chief expressed the wish to see the construction of a school for some 150 children of this remote place. At the same time, financial aid of families in terms of health and of education became crucial.
Huge needs
In 2022It is a mill which was financed so that the villagers could grind their flour. In 2023, the need for the construction of a organic agricultural training center was felt and first half of 2024work has started.
-The opening of the school currently under construction is planned for 2026. On site, a young agronomist, Noël Ataro, liaises with the Valognese association.
The financial needs are therefore enormous and new memberships would be welcome. Participating in the lottery on January 25 will already be a gesture appreciated by the association to help it in its solidarity projects.
