Faced with the intense cold snap, the El Hajeb provincial monitoring and vigilance committee put in place an operational plan to protect vulnerable populations and ensure the continuity of essential services.
This plan concerns 20 douars, or 4,634 people exposed to risks, with a focus on the 408 pregnant women identified. Substantial logistical resources have been mobilized, including 23 snow removal machines and medical equipment for specialized mini-care campaigns.
In the education sector, 430 heaters were distributed to schools, accompanied by 120 tonnes of wood and reinforcement of boarding schools with blankets and bedding.
-Local authorities ensure continuous coordination to effectively respond to the needs of residents and minimize the impact of the cold.
