a fair on professional training offered in Blanquefort and its surroundings

Cis a newcomer on the market of events dedicated to youth. The local training and careers fair will take place on January 24 and 25 at the Fongravey multipurpose room, in Blanquefort. However, Friday will be strictly reserved for schools. Some 200 students will be mobilized.

Saturday morning, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be open to the general public. “This is a community-wide initiative. It is engaged via the youth center, with the participation of the dedicated municipal service, ABCS, the Technowest local mission and Erip. The idea was to go to the schools in Blanquefort and the surrounding area. The response was immediately favorable,” explains Jean-Claude Marsault, deputy for culture and youth. Thus, 11 establishments will have a stand and seven others will come with classes (on Friday). Focuses on training will be organized: trades in stone arts, tiling, landscaping, hairdressing, trades in the graphic and communication industries, industrial boilermaking, fitter-fitter in aeronautics, logistics operator, etc. Young people enrolled in these courses will answer families' questions.

Workshops

This show is aimed in particular at middle and high school students wishing to follow a professional path. In addition to demonstrations, workshops will allow you to try your hand at tiling, hairdressing, etc. Three round tables will take place on Saturday morning, between 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Erip will host the one on finding an internship. Travail will focus on professions that are recruiting and parents of students from the Blanquefortaise association Appui will discuss the theme “let's take the drama out of orientation”. A more fun space will provide the opportunity to immerse yourself in certain professions using virtual reality headsets and orientation games. Anefa (agricultural sector) will come to meet the public on Saturday. A dense program for a first edition.
