Radio 8 Ardennes | Nouvion-sur-Meuse: The body of a man discovered along the railway track

The firefighters were called this Tuesday, late morning, to Nouvion-sur-Meuse, after the discovery of the body of a man along the railway track. The victim, aged 48, was discovered thanks to the report of a train driver. The body was in fact discovered in the ditch, along the side of the track, approximately 300 meters from Nouvion station, in the Charleville/Sedan direction. According to the Mayor of the town, Jean-Luc Claude, present on the scene, it was a resident of Nouvion-sur-Meuse. In view of the injuries, he would have been hit by a train traveling on line 1, again according to the elected official.

On the side of the Prosecutor's Office, Magali Josse, Public Prosecutor, specifies that a “judicial investigation has been opened in search of the causes of death and that the hypothesis of a voluntary action by the victim is favored at this stage of the investigations “.
