The Coalition Avenir Québec has chosen its candidate for the by-election in the Terrebonne riding, the date of which is still not known.
According to our information, it would be Alex Gagné, the president of the À deux pas de la voix foundation, which offers help to primary school students.
Mr. Gagné therefore succeeds superminister Pierre Fitzgibbon, who was MP for this riding for the CAQ before resigning from his post at the beginning of September.
The government has still not set a date for holding this election.
-According to electoral law, a by-election must be called a maximum of six months after a position has been left vacant.
