“Non-compliance with administrative procedures.” This, according to the management of the Maison de la Presse, explains the non-holding of the press conference of the Council of Broadcasters and Press Editors of Senegal (Cdeps). “The Boubacar Touré press house noted, with regret, that the press conference which was planned for this Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11 a.m. by the Cdeps could not be held in its premises due to non-compliance with administrative procedures required”, informs, in a press release, the director of Relations with the press and the partners of the Maison de la presse. Indexed for his “unreachability”, Mr. Biagui indicates, through his services, that the conference scheduled for next Wednesday will indeed take place. He even attached to his press release the request addressed by the Cdeps to the administration of the Maison de la presse. The institution specifies, in fact, that “for associations bringing together professionals and/or employers, they are just asked to send a written request for availability to the Director General to access the rooms without paying”. What the Cdeps would not have respected for its conference today. Question: had this same procedure been respected for all its press conferences that the Cdeps held at the Maison de la presse?
