Berrada learns about efforts to strengthen school provision and reduce class overcrowding

In this context, Mr. Berrada, accompanied by the wali of the Fez-Meknes region, governor of the Prefecture of Fez, Mouaad Jamai, as well as the president of the region, Abdelouahed El Ansari, visited the qualifying high school “Al Idarissa” where data was provided on the Regional Educational Support Plan and the approaches adopted to support students and remedy their learning difficulties.

The minister also attended academic support sessions in science and French language organized for the benefit of students of this establishment to consolidate their knowledge and prepare them for the 2025 baccalaureate exams.

Mr. Berrada also visited the International Higher School of Management (ESIG) to learn about the measures put in place to accommodate students from the rural commune of Ouled Tayeb.

This approach is part of the ministry’s efforts to reduce class overcrowding in schools in this municipality and guarantee optimal management of school time with a view to fairness and equal opportunities between all students.

He also kicked off construction work on the An-Nahda qualifying high school in the commune of Ouled Tayeb with a view to strengthening school provision and reducing overcrowding in classes.

This establishment will have a capacity of 950 students and will include 14 rooms for general education, 8 rooms for sciences, a computer room and a multimedia room.

This project is part of the implementation of the provisions of the 2022-2026 Roadmap, aimed at improving school provision, reducing the phenomenon of school dropouts and guaranteeing better learning conditions for students. .

In a statement to the press, the director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Fez-Meknes, Fouad Arouadi, focused on the progress of the Roadmap of the reform of the education system 2022-2026, particularly in terms of academic support for all students in the region, in particular those preparing for the baccalaureate exams.

And to add that an ambitious program has been put in place to allow students to strengthen their learning and prepare for this deadline in the best possible conditions.

Also, this visit focused on preparations for the next school year, in particular with the construction of a qualifying high school in the commune of Ouled Tayeb, he noted, specifying that two primary schools and a middle school will be built in this area. common to meet the growing demand for schooling.

In total, 45 schools will open their doors in all prefectures and provinces in the region during the next school year, including 17 in the prefecture of Fez.
