The year 2024 in Dégagnac was rich in events and activities thanks to the associative fabric and the dynamism of the municipality. Concerned about the difficulties that some residents may encounter, the municipal council chose not to increase the rate of local taxes, and the €1 (RPI) canteen was maintained!
An agreement was signed with the Céou banks union and the community of Cazals/Salviac communes for a study and the future of the water body. The PLUi is moving forward with locations and photographs of barns likely to be transformed. The addressing, which serves as a priority to maintain and improve services and emergency response, will be completed in 2025. It is a considerable job with the help of the entire municipal team to cover the 70 km of municipal roads. Note that the longest of them measures more than 5.5 km. The abnormal proliferation of mosquitoes, particularly tigers, which can cause infections and the presence of ragweed, an invasive but non-toxic plant, have been noted, and the town hall is concerned about this. A dense associative fabric has energized the town throughout the year. The Festival Committee, with the semi-night trail, the three days of celebration, winter meals, lotteries, garage sales, gourmet markets, etc., offers activities for all residents of the town. The summer farmers' markets organized by the municipal council offer an opportunity for exchanges between locals and tourists.
The new laughter club is a great success and many other associations also bring the town to life. A women's football team (Cazals agreement) has revived the stadium. The friendly Dégagnac bowling player is still living well and even sees new arrivals in its ranks.
-To close the year, a gift was given to seniors over 80 years old, a friendly drink and a snack were offered by elected officials to all residents.
