What if there was a mini Golf course soon in Muille-Villette? Original project which releases passions within the municipal council which has been tormented for several months.
After the almost finished playground which will be inaugurated at the end of March, the municipality wants to create a mini-golf course to bring together families and children but also to offer an intergenerational place. “The spirit is to be able to bring together young and old“, explains Eric Slosarczyk, first deputy mayor, in charge of the file. “There is a lack of activities in the town and there is a demand. We also want to please the children. Instead of seeing them play in the street, we prefer that they come to the playground or mini golf course.“
An 18-hole mini golf course
Concretely, the planned mini-golf course would consist of 18 holes with various courses and different decorations: bridges, windmills, various and varied obstacles… The estimated cost including tax would be a little less than €30,000. “Access will be free. It will be closed. Golf clubs and balls will be collected from the town hall. There will perhaps be an opening on weekends… All this still remains to be determined.”
Friday January 3, the municipal council of Muille-Villette voted in favor of the project and the requests for subsidies from the State (via the provision of equipment for rural areas), the department and the region, i.e. total grant request of 80%. “If we have the grant agreements, we will do the work this year. We purchase the equipment and our agents will install the equipment” specifies Florian Slosarszyk, the mayor of the town.
The location of this future mini-golf course has not yet been determined. Three locations are possible according to the mayor and his deputy. This still remains to be studied.
Note: during the municipal council meeting on January 3, the opposition, five municipal councilors, opposed the project and the requests for subsidies (see box).
A house of associations
This equipment is part of the municipality's five projects in favor of residents, associations and sports clubs. A leitmotif: creating social bonds. In addition to this mini-golf course, initially, the almost finished play area will also see the installation of equipment for adults as well as picnic tables.
Within the town hall grounds, a project to rehabilitate the town hall annex is also underway. “This involves creating a house of associations with a common living space“, specifies the deputy. The cost of the work is estimated at €230,216 including tax to which must be added the architect's fees of just over €18,000 including tax. Subsidy requests are also in progress.
Petanque courts and a sports hall
Behind the town hall, the hangar at the back could see the arrival of indoor and outdoor pétanque courts. “We can play up to 60 teams. Both the elderly and the young are interested. The grounds will be passable if all goes well this spring.” précise Eric Slosarczyk.
-Along the same lines and in the same location, a sports hall should be created behind the town hall hangar. “We are currently waiting for feedback from the architect to move forward on the file.” specifies the mayor.
Other current files:
– The sidewalks of rue de Paris currently applying for subsidies for the section from the roundabout to Bricomarché.
– Video protection with the installation of 13 cameras throughout the town, at village entrances and in strategic locations.
