No to the installation of 100 illegal miners in Chapet, a peaceful village in

Residents of Chapet, citizens of and defenders of our rural communities. A brutal decision today threatens the balance of this peaceful village.

The State and the department, in a hasty and arbitrary approach, wish to set up a camp welcoming up to 100 unaccompanied unaccompanied minors (UMAs) in the Chapet area, without any consultation with the town hall or the residents.

I am Olivier Le Coq, Reconquest of Yvelines delegate. I am writing this petition following the call for help from several residents worried about the dramatic consequences that this project could cause for their village.

Why is this project unacceptable?

  1. A decision imposed without consultation or respect:
Developed in secret, this project was presented to Chapet town hall without any prior consultation. It is a forceful move by the State, in total contradiction with the principles of transparency and republican dialogue.

  2. Exceeded reception capacity:
Chapet, a charming village of 1,350 inhabitants, does not have a municipal police force or sufficient technical resources to manage such an installation. Moreover, Chapet already welcomes around ten young people in reintegration.

  3. A devastating impact on safety and quality of life:
The project plans to install 25 bungalows on one hectare in the immediate vicinity of homes, without any infrastructure to support these young people.

  4. Security issues:
These isolated young people, far from urban areas and without public transport, would cross the village daily to reach neighboring towns.

    • Potential delinquency: According to official figures, nearly 80% of the release of minors in concern unaccompanied minors, often involved in acts of theft and violence.
  5. An indignity for these young people:
“Parking” them in a precarious camp, far from any real opportunity for assimilation, is not only ineffective but also profoundly inhumane.

    -
  6. A project motivated by savings and legal privileges:
The choice of modular bungalows makes it possible to circumvent town planning rules with precarious exemption permits. This method flouts the efforts of municipalities to respect housing laws.

So NO, NO and NO for Chapet:

  • Chapet refuses to be an adjustment variable for the budgetary panic of the department and the State.
  • This project sacrifices the security, tranquility and very identity of this peaceful village.
  • Unaccompanied minors deserve better than a simple camp disconnected from the services and opportunities necessary for their assimilation.

WE DEMAND:

  1. The immediate cessation of this implementation project in Chapet.
  2. Consultation with residents and local elected officials before any decision affecting a municipality. This is democracy!

What is happening today in Chapet is being repeated in other villages and could happen tomorrow in any commune in .
This situation is the direct result of poorly controlled immigration, amplified by irresponsible policies. It is urgent to put an immediate stop to immigration, whether legal or illegal, because it threatens our communities, weighs heavily on our public finances and weakens our identity as well as our national cohesion.

How to act?

  • Sign this petition and invite your loved ones to do the same.
  • Share it widely to raise awareness among the inhabitants of Yvelines and elsewhere.
  • Participate in public meetings to make your voice heard.

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Let's sign, share and mobilize to protect our country and our villages. Say NO to this delusional, arbitrary and unfair project.
