You therefore refused to position yourself in opposition to the Macronists. However, this was the mandate entrusted to you by the voters of the 2^e Lot constituency. This position is a betrayal. You would never have been elected assuming that 6 months later you would serve as a crutch for Emmanuel Macron's policies of social and anti-ecological violence. I would like to remind you of the political situation in our department. In 2017 the old left lost the two constituencies to the benefit of LR in Cahors with Mr. Pradié, and the Macronists, in Figeac, with Ms. Tiegna. In 2022 in the presidential elections Jean-Luc Mélenchon gets 10 times more votes than Anne Hidalgo. In June 2022 by running against NUPES, maintaining yourself on 2^e round against the results of 1^is turn, you make the Macronist win by 126 votes “breaking with all left-wing traditions since the Popular Front”. In June 2024, in accordance with the national agreements that I respect, I withdraw my candidacy in the face of the danger represented by the RN. On this occasion, I salute those who expressed their surprise to me at this decision. You won the election with the NFP and the involvement of rebellious activists to defeat the outgoing Macronist MP.

Fracture of the left in the Lot?

Faced with your irresponsibility, France Insoumise will make arrangements for future deadlines. Lotois voters have the right to have a ballot to repeal the pension reform, for real salary increases, for an ecological bifurcation, for the VI^e Republic.
