Interview with Mr. Mouhamadou Lamine Niang, Managing Director

1. How are you positioning Xpertize Senegal on the African market?

M.Niang : Xpertize Senegal is much more than just a recruitment firm. We offer a full range of services: headhunting for executive profiles via confidential missions, recruitment for middle management positions, and salary portage for companies that do not yet have a legal entity in Senegal. In addition, our consulting department offers assessments, HR audits, salary studies and outplacement services.

We have a personalized approach and respect international standards while being anchored in local realities. This allows us to effectively meet the varied needs of our customers in West Africa and beyond.

How does promoting local expertise allow Xpertize Senegal to differentiate itself in an increasingly globalized market?

Promoting local expertise is one of our priorities. Indeed, local expertise has often been unfairly perceived as limited and less competent than that of others. However, we are keen to promote African talent, because it is important to emphasize that today, the African elite is trained in the same universities and has courses as prestigious as any other international profile. In addition, large universities are also present in Africa, notably in Senegal, thus allowing local profiles to compete with those from other regions. We must not forget that mastery of the local socio-cultural environment, from which these profiles benefit, also constitutes a major asset.

How did you perceive the emergence of this new ruling class in Senegal and its impact on your activity?

I perceived the emergence of this new ruling class in Senegal with great optimism. The arrival of this generation of leaders, often younger and more open to reforms, represents a real opportunity for the country. It embodies a wind of change, bringing ambitious initiatives to stimulate economic growth and social development.

For Xpertize Senegal, this development has had a direct and positive impact. We have seen a strong demand for qualified talent and leadership profiles adapted to contemporary challenges. In addition, this new dynamic has fostered an environment conducive to innovation and collaboration with local and international companies.

We are also witnessing increased awareness of the importance of human resource management, inclusion and skills diversification, which aligns perfectly with our mission. As a major player in recruitment and HR consulting, we have the chance to contribute to this transformation, by supporting these new managers in the development of their teams and helping them identify the talents necessary to achieve their growth objectives.

Why did you integrate salary portability into your offer?

Mr. Niang: Salary portage is an ideal solution for companies wishing to test a market or establish a temporary presence there without immediately committing to the creation of a legal structure. We take care of all administrative, legal and social aspects related to employment, allowing our clients to concentrate on their core business. It is a strategic offer which is very successful with foreign companies.

What are your challenges for the coming years?

Mr. Niang: One of our main challenges is to continue to innovate in our services, in particular by integrating more digital into our processes. We also want to expand our influence to new markets in Africa while strengthening our position in West Africa. Finally, we are committed to maintaining a high level of satisfaction among our clients and candidates, while training our teams to meet future HR challenges.

As an Office Manager, how do you support companies with their recruitment?

Mme Koita : My role is to understand the specific needs of each client and ensure we provide them with the best talent. My mission is also to ensure the standardization of processes according to our international standards, given that we work with a multinational. The daily management of the office as well as the development of the skills of our employees are part of my responsibilities.

For executive profiles, we implement strictly confidential headhunting processes. For middle management recruitments, we use our extensive local and regional network.

We also support our clients with salary studies and HR audits to help them structure their teams optimally. Our objective is to provide them with solutions adapted to their challenges, whether local or regional.

What are the sectors where Xpertize Senegal operates most often?

Ms. Koita: We are very active in the industrial, telecommunications, energy, banking, finance, agri-food and technology sectors. These sectors, which are growing rapidly in Africa, require qualified and experienced talents, which we know how to identify thanks to our expertise and our international network.

How do you ensure the satisfaction of the candidates you place?

Ms. Koita: We have a human and personalized approach. We remain in contact with candidates, even after they have taken up their position, to ensure that they integrate well into their new professional environment. This strengthens our credibility and our image among the talents we approach. We strive to build a relationship of trust with our candidates, thus becoming true partners, because we are in a relationship business. Our candidates of today are our clients of tomorrow.

Conclusion :

With varied services and a commitment to respecting international standards, Xpertize Senegal has established itself as a strategic partner for businesses in West Africa. Whether for recruitment needs, HR consulting or salary portability, the firm offers tailor-made solutions, adapted to local and international realities.
