The emblematic president of Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez, was re-elected on Sunday for a fifth consecutive term which will extend until 2029, the club announced.
« In the absence of other candidacies, Florentino Pérez is re-elected president of Real Madrid, » indicates the club in a press release published after the resounding victory of the “ Merengue » against Las Palmas (4-1), which allows them to regain the lead in La Liga.

Aged 77, Pérez has led Real without interruption or opposition since his return in 2009, with re-elections in 2013, 2017, 2021 and 2025.
The businessman had already made his mark on the history of Real Madrid during a first mandate that began in 2000, at the head of the famous “ Galactics »who won two Spanish championship titles (2001, 2003) and a Champions League (2002). However, he resigned in 2006.
-Since his return, Real Madrid has enriched its record with five Spanish championship titles and six Champions Leagues, including a historic series of three consecutive victories (2016, 2017, 2018).
