6 million works announced for 2025

Saturday January 18, Mayor Laurent Civel cited figures: 3,173 inhabitants in the first new commune of Landes (including 360 who came to attend the wishes), 210 trees planted in three years and almost 6 million euros invested in 2024, and it should be the same in 2025, for a total of 12 million euros invested since 2020. “Although the State is increasingly absent, our resources increase by 16% thanks to actions that provide the financial means to act in this way. »

For 2025, work is coming to the firefighters, the gendarmerie and the health center. Most of the investments will concern two major projects: the continuation of the third phase of development of the town (in progress) and the redevelopment of rue de la Bruqueyre, which will become a dead end. “The bypass road, the relocation of the kiosk and these successive phases of work are only intended to facilitate traffic and security in the city,” noted the mayor.

Fewer trucks in the city center

On this same theme, he continued: “In 2025-2026, in partnership with the department, the D 41 will be reviewed from Egger to the level crossing with a cycle path to be defined. » In 2026, the work on the Marco Polo restaurant at the Poste Bridge will mark the end of a large-scale redevelopment with a single major objective: “The issuance of an order to eliminate all truck traffic in the city center” .

Other innovative projects (with only four municipalities selected): to facilitate access to land ownership, land behind the stadium will be transferred to the Department. Behind the village hall, the creation of a seniors residence will see the light of day by 2026. “Canteen and passports are always free and fiscal stability assured for the last year of the mandate,” argued Laurent Civel.

Outside of social networks

A speech strongly applauded.
