El Hadji Malick Ndiaye listening to the Senegalese of Ivory Coast

On an official visit to Ivory Coast, El Hadji Malick Ndiaye, President of the National Assembly, took the opportunity to inquire about the situation of Senegalese living in this country. During his discussions, El Malick Ndiaye insisted on the vision of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, who wish to “strengthen the links between the State and the diaspora”. He underlined the “essential role of the latter in the economic and social development of Senegal” and promised concrete actions to meet their expectations.

The President of the National Assembly of Senegal also placed emphasis on “national cohesion”, magnifying the spirit of solidarity of Senegalese abroad, often united in cultural and religious associations. He reaffirmed the importance of “preserving this model and integrating religious and cultural values ​​into educational programs in order to promote a new citizen consciousness focused on integrity and the general interest.”

Ultimately, El Hadji Malick Ndiaye promised a real “break” in the relationship between the State and the diaspora, symbolized by open dialogue and “attentive listening to the needs of his compatriots abroad”.
