We at least hope that the quality was there. Last September, Spanish influencer Andrea Noguero denounced in a video that has gone viral in recent days the excessive prices charged by certain Parisian merchants.
The young woman particularly targets the establishment Laduration on the Champs-Élysées in the 8th arrondissement.
“I advise you not to come to Ladurée”
“We are in Paris and we came for a coffee,” explains Andrea Noguero in the preamble. Then, the young woman questions her subscribers, asking them if they know how much she and her friends paid for “five coffees, a bottle of water and three macaroons”. Answer: “83 euros”.
Very upset by the amount to be paid, the young women claim to have suffered “a scam”, taking for example a one-liter bottle of Evian water which cost them the modest sum of “12 euros”. To conclude, Andrea Noguero advises her subscribers “not to come to Ladurée”.
Viewed more than 2.5 million timesthe video generated a lot of interaction. But in the comments, some wanted to defend the French brandspecializing in pastry. “It’s Ladurée, it’s normal, you don’t go to the Ritz expecting the coffee to cost one euro”, or “83 euros divided into 5 people, that’s 16.60 euros per person. It’s completely normal here in Paris, don’t act surprised,” are the visible messages.
