Emergency services were alerted Saturday evening at 7:38 p.m. to search for a 42-year-old man who went missing during an underwater hunt at Cap Pointe-Colas located in Pointe-Noire. Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the search had to resume this morning. The freediver's lifeless body was finally found.
The search was unsuccessful on Saturday evening. The alert given by two other fighters after 7 p.m. triggered the intervention of Dragon 971 to fly over the area at the request of Crossag. But unfavorable weather conditions stopped everything. The wanted man had disappeared during an underwater hunting trip.
It was at 8 a.m. this morning that the search was able to resume, this time with better conditions. Firefighters, gendarmes and Dragon 971 were on the bridge. About an hour after the search resumed, the body was seen by emergency services. He was brought back up and put on a private boat with the police. The man was 42 years old.
