Warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms in the East and South-East

Finally rain? Météo France issued on Sunday January 19 a yellow warning notice for heavy rain and thunderstorms valid for the Eastern and South-Eastern regions of Reunion from 6 p.m. this evening.

The episode is expected to continue throughout the night and until Monday, January 20 at 7 a.m.

Enough to bring some welcome rain while Reunion, and the East in particular, is experiencing a significant episode of drought having consequences on the distribution of water in several municipalities in the micro-region.
