The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) highlighted the decisive contribution of the General Directorate of Studies and Documentation (DGED), Morocco’s foreign intelligence service, in the arrest of an individual accused of planning his joining the terrorist organization Islamic State. During a press conference organized on Thursday, the FBI declared that this case, part of international cooperation, benefited from substantial support from the Moroccan DGED. The American authorities have expressed their “deep gratitude for the help provided by Morocco”emphasizing “an exemplary level of collaboration that illustrates the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.”

According to details reported by the American media, Alexander Justin White had, between May and October 2024, repeatedly expressed his support for the Islamic State group on social networks, using his pseudonym to disseminate propaganda content and demonstrate his desire to join the terrorist organization.
