The Casablanca fruit and vegetable wholesale market recorded record results in 2024, with a supply volume exceeding 1.6 million tonnes of goods and revenue reaching 177 million dirhams, an increase of 10% compared to to 2023.

The local development company Casablanca Prestations indicates, in a press release, that the Casablanca fruit and vegetable wholesale market recorded unprecedented results in 2024, indicating that more than 1,600,000 tonnes of goods were transported, generating revenue of 177 million dirhams, an increase of 10% compared to 2023.

Casablanca Prestations affirms that “these remarkable performances reflect exceptional resilience and strengthened governance, in a context marked by real climate challenges”, indicating that these record results achieved in 2024 were made possible thanks to the measures taken by all parties stakeholders of the city of Casablanca and collaboration between market users and agents.

According to the same source, these support and remediation actions have made it possible to achieve excellent results since the opening of the market, for a logistics traffic of 233,000 trucks having passed through the market, thus consolidating its central role in the supply chain, reports Maroc.
