The Moroccan Said family lands a mega-contract worth nearly 2 billion DH per year in Nouakchott

Thunderclap in Nouakchott. The Moroccan Said family, via its company SOS NDD (SOS Nouvelle Dynamique Durable), won the international call for tenders for the collection and transport of household waste from the Mauritanian capital. This contract, worth 7.5 billion ouguiyas (1.9 billion DH), extends over one year with the possibility of renewal for a maximum period of ten years. She thus ousts the boss of Mauritanian bosses, Mohamed Zine El Abidine Cheikh Ahmed, who until now managed this essential service.

Jackpot for SOS NDD (SOS New Sustainable Dynamics). The company belonging to the Said family has just won a major contract for the collection and transport of household waste from Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania. The contract was awarded by the Public Procurement Commission of the Mauritanian Ministry of the Interior, the Promotion of Decentralization and Local Development.

This contract follows an international call for tenders launched in 2024, in which six companies participated. SOS NDD thus beat out prestigious competitors, including the company headed by Mohamed Zine El Abidine Cheikh Ahmed, the boss of Mauritanian bosses, as well as the French company Pizzorno, until then in charge of waste management in Nouakchott. The contract is for a period of one year, renewable for a maximum period of ten years.
