During his wishes for the new year, Alain Guillaumemayor of Saint-Caradec, near Loudéac (Côtes-d'Armor), detailed, Sunday January 12, 2025the flagship projects that will mark 2025.
Between heritage restoration, sports facilities and cultural initiatives, the municipality is planning a year full of achievements.
Work for the Alexandre Léauté sports complex
In the fall, another major project will begin: the renovation and extension of the old changing rooms of the Alexandre Léauté sports complex.
” Their upgrading was necessary to facilitate training sessions for young athletes,” underlines Alain Guillaume.
The project also includes the redevelopment of the conviviality space, enlarged by a 30 m² shelter.
The forecast cost is estimated at 180 000 €and the municipality is currently looking for subsidies to carry out this operation.
-The altarpieces
One of the major projects, that of the restoration of the altarpieces, will be completed in the first quarter of 2025. A delicate and ambitious project, financed to the tune of €300,000.
Thank you to the generous donors who, alongside the municipality, the Department, the Region and the State, contributed €20,000 to this project.
A new subdivision
This year will also see the launch of calls for tenders for the subdivision of Calagan.
“Thirteen lots will be put up for sale, with a superb view of the West Valley and the rising sun,” specifies the mayor. An initiative which is part of a desire to attract new residents while boosting local businesses.
An open-air exhibition
Finally, a new outdoor exhibition will be organized, on the model of that of 2021. This time, the works of painter Lucien Pouëdras will be honored.
“We are still counting on many visitors, and this will be an opportunity for strengthened cooperation between the municipality, associations and volunteers.”
