Workshop-concert: Accordion – “Sonic Meditations” by Vincent Lhermet

The Théâtre Dunois invites you to attend, Sunday January 26, the “Sonic Meditations” concert by Vincent Lhermet (L'Itinéraire), accompanied by a workshop on the accordion and a snack after the show!

Pauline Oliveros' Sound Meditations, designed as short protocols, invite the public to play an active role in listening, guided by virtuoso accordionist Vincent Lhermet as master of ceremonies. Works by Grisey, Hosokawa, Cypriot composer Christina Athinodorou and Italian composer Matteo Franceschin slip between these moments of suspended meditation.

Matteo Franceschini was born on October 28, 1979 in Trento in the region of Trentino-Alto Adige in Italy into a family of musicians. His father, Armando Franceschini, is a composer and director of the FA Bonporti Conservatory of in Trento. Matteo Franceschini writes for opera and theater and also creates soundtracks for cinema and multimedia works. The theatricality of his musical story and the dreamlike universe of his work reflect his research on timbre1. His compositions are broadcast by a number of radio stations such as Musique or the Belgian Radio-Television of the French Community.

Let's meet around a snack and share together the discovery of a unique musical universe. Each of the seven concerts in the “Astonish your ears” cycle is accompanied by a discovery workshop with the artists who invite us to better understand their approaches, play their instruments, travel into their worlds. All this in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
