On the menu we mention in particular: historical photos retracing a century of scouting; the projection of videos on giant screens; the exhibition of emblematic objects of the unit; the presentation of a timeline retracing a century of history; the reconstruction of typical scenes from Scout life… or even the creation of a giant fresco live.
Visitors will be able to enjoy, both evenings, a bar, music, and a food truck, for reunions in a warm and friendly atmosphere! Open Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight. Entrance is therefore free.
“The event is already shaping up to be a success, since several hundred former members have expressed their intention to participate. Some will not hesitate to travel long distances, like a former scout who will come specially from Switzerland to find his comrades”rejoices Thomas Crahay, unit facilitator.
-Badge, beer and documentary for the centenary
To prepare for this celebration, a dedicated Facebook page was created and already brings together nearly 250 former members. Those interested can also check out the associated Facebook event for all the practical information. Furthermore, a special page has been added to the unit's website, bringing together all the initiatives planned as part of the centenary.
This exhibition marks the starting point of an entire year of celebrations. The Unit also planned to make a documentary, brew a beer, make a centenary badge, set up a QR code hunt across Belgium and organize an XXL Unit party, all in 2025.
