New road drama this Saturday. Around 8:50 a.m., an accident occurred on Departmental 488, in Givors. According to initial findings made on site, a vehicle left the road in a bend.
The car, a Renault Mégane, hit a tree before rolling several times and stopping on an embankment at the side of the road.
The young woman is now out of danger
Two occupants were in this car. Emergency services had to extricate them. They tried everything to bring a man in his twenties back to life but the victim unfortunately died.
The other occupant, a 19-year-old woman, initially in serious condition, was taken care of and transported to a recovery unit in Lyon Sud. His vital prognosis is no longer in jeopardy.
-During all the rescue operations, traffic was closed on this road, which, according to our information, was icy. Officers from the local police station will try to determine the origins of this accident.
