Metropolis of . Too expensive, the river shuttle has definitely left the Grand Large

She had been stowed at the Grand Large pontoon for nine years. Long awaited, the river shuttle sailed for a few summers between 2015 and 2019 between , Décines, , Jonage and Jons, before remaining at the quay. Affected by the Covid crisis in 2020, it gradually sank, weighed down by accumulated deficits, more than a hundred thousand euros each year.

However, the objectives of this project carried by Michel Buronfosse, former PCF elected official from Décines and former president of the union of municipalities bordering the Jonage canal (which merged with Symalim), were interesting. Among other things, promoting natural spaces…
