He was the ambassador of good food, of good French products that he highlighted in his television show broadcast on 5 called “ The Escapades of Petitrenaud ».

Jean-Luc Petitrenaud passed away on Friday January 10, 2025 at the age of 74 following a long illness. Viewers will long remember this journalist traveling in his British taxi which did not lack humor and made our mouths water.

Souvenir of cider from Ferme de l’Aunay

The gastronomic columnist stopped during one of his escapades, 9 years ago, in Gaillon (Eure). In January 2016, in fact, Jean-Luc Petitrenaud came to one of the last remaining farms in the Gaillonnais sector: the Aunay Farm.

Welcomed by Cédric and Gérard Van de Steene and their wives, Petitrenaud discovered the production of cider on this farm located on the road to La -Saint-Leufroy.

Then to La Chaumière, in Acquigny

Hydraulic pressing, pure juice, choice of neighboring orchards no longer held any secrets for the journalist at the end of his visit. After a final tasting, the visitor took the road to join Acquigny where the Gohel family welcomed him to La Chaumièrerestaurant du village.

There began the sharing of a wild boar pâté, a poultry pie, and wild rabbit jelly. A Guinness beef still made the eyes of the friendly Jean-Luc shine and the taste buds vibrate. Late in the evening, to the sound of bagpipes “the atmosphere was great”, remembers Cédric Van de Steene.
