Be careful on the roads: fog is arriving across Belgium, patches of frost and freezing temperatures tonight!

The warning comes into effect this Saturday from 10 p.m. and is valid until 11 a.m. Sunday.

The IRM warns that fog may limit visibility to less than 200m. Given that negative temperatures are expected during the night, the fog could be icing, with local patches of frost forming on the roadways.

“This evening and night, low clouds, mist and/or fog will become more prevalent again. The fog will then often be freezing. However, the sky will remain generally clear over a large part of the Hautes-Fagnes. The minimums will be between -1 degree at the coast and -6 degrees in Hautes-Fagnes (or even less in certain valleys). The wind will be weak, of variable direction or from east-southeast to south-southeast over the west“, announces the IRM on its site.
