Donald Trump's administration will massively arrest illegal migrants starting Tuesday, according to Tom Homan

US President Donald Trump's administration will carry out mass arrests of illegal immigrants across the country starting Tuesday, a senior official said. “There will be actions across the country. Chicago is just one place among others,” said Friday on the American channel Fox News Tom Homan, former director of the agency responsible for border control and immigration (ICE) and who will be in responsibility for borders in the Trump administration.

This would be one of the first actions taken by President Trump, who will be inaugurated on Monday. The Republican had promised during his campaign to expel millions of undocumented migrants in what would be the largest expulsion operation of illegal migrants in the history of the United States. “On Tuesday, ICE is going to come out and finally do its job. We will allow them to arrest foreign criminals. What we are saying to ICE is that you will enforce immigration law without apologizing,” added Tom Homan, described by the new president as a “border czar.”

“You're going to focus first on the worst ones, on the threats to public safety, but no one is excluded. If they are in an irregular situation, they have a problem,” he insisted. According to the Wall Street Journalciting four people familiar with the operations, the arrests were scheduled to begin Tuesday in Chicago and would last “all week,” involving 100 to 200 ICE agents. Chicaco is one of the American cities run by Democrats that have declared themselves “sanctuaries” for migrants.
