GARD More fear than harm for a motorist and an octogenarian

This Friday, January 17, among all the missions faced by the gendarmes, two of them which seemed worrying ended well.

The first takes place Friday afternoon in the La Grand'Combe sector. An 89-year-old man fell in the afternoon. He is hospitalized. However, his son does not know this and is worried about not having news from his father. He alerts the police. The latter learned from the hospital center that the octogenarian was indeed hospitalized, but that he was released at the end of the afternoon. No one knows where he is then. The worry grows. We were looking for him everywhere and it was finally at… the hospital that the retiree was found safe and sound. The octogenarian had prudently chosen to stay warm.

Later in the evening, around 8:30 p.m., it is this time towards Gallician that the gendarmes are heading. They have just been contacted by a man who discovered a wrecked car in a pond. The vehicle's lights, still on despite the fall, protrude from the water. The soldiers quickly noticed that there was no victim inside the car, nor in the pond. After numerous searches, the driver, who left the road and managed to escape by himself, was found at his brother's house. All's well that ends well.
