Having been ill for several years, Bruce Willis recently made a notable appearance on the streets of Los Angeles. The actor wanted to thank the police officers of the City of Angels, currently engulfed in flames.
Suffering from dementia, Bruce Willis very rarely appears in public. However, the actor wanted to leave his home to greet the police officers who have been mobilized for several days to help the population in the face of the fires ravaging Los Angeles.
In a video and black and white photos published this Thursday, January 16 by his wife, Emma Heming Willis, on her Instagram account, the former star of “Crystal Trap” and “Sixth Sense” appears all smiles, cap on on the head, warmly shaking the hand of an agent.
“When spotting a rescuer, Bruce never missed an opportunity to show his gratitude by shaking their hand and saying 'thank you for your service'. Yesterday was no different,” we read in the caption.
-An act praised by his family
The daughter of Bruce Willis and his former partner Demi Moore, Tallulah Willis, did not fail to react to this moving gesture. “This fills my heart with joy,” she wrote in the comments.
Bruce Willis retired from acting in March 2022, after being diagnosed with aphasia, a condition affecting speech and memory. His family revealed the following year that he suffered from frontotemporal dementia.
