Through two images, we discover two iPhone SE 4s in profile and from behind. The opportunity to discover that Apple has made the right choice to opt for flat edges and a single photo sensor at the back.
A choice that follows without much surprise the rumors, with a sort of chimera between the iPhone 14 (design, Oled screen and Face ID), the iPhone 15 (48 Mpx main photo sensor) and the iPhone SE range ( a single lens at the rear).
Two colors are then included: black and white, like the shades “Midnight Black” et “Starlight” of the iPhone SE 3. Red is not there, however, aka the famous “(PRODUCT) RED”donating a portion of sales to the Global Fund.
At first glance, the iPhone SE 4 seems to make a real move upmarket thanks to its design changes. 9to5Mac even goes so far as to say that the aluminum edges and neutral colors would bring it closer to the Pro models.
As a bonus, this generation would have a lot to do with the latest non-SE iPhone models. The noises from the corridors actually speak:
-- Enough power to run Apple Intelligence
- The adoption of the 48 Mpx sensor available since the iPhone 14 Pro
- Similar in design to the iPhone 14, bringing a 6.1-inch Oled panel with Face ID
- MagSafe wireless charging
- A USB-C port
We would thus get closer to what Apple offers with the iPhone 16. It would still have some advantages, including the Dynamic Island, the 12 Mpx ultra wide-angle or even the Action and Control buttons of the camera .
All this would justify a rumor which is taking on more and more meaning: the change of name. We would thus have an iPhone SE 4 renamed to iPhone 16E because of its simplified technical sheet and not so far from the iPhone 16.
Please note, however, that this model would have something new in the iPhone range: a 5G modem designed by Apple. A development which would mark the end of the company's dependence on Qualcomm for this component, in exchange for slightly reduced network performance and better energy efficiency.
