orange alert activated, differentiated traffic put in place this Friday

Notice to motorists. Differentiated traffic will be introduced from 5 a.m. this Friday morning. The Rhône prefecture has in fact activated the orange alert in the Lyon basin and Nord-Isère due to an episode of pollution.

Only vehicles with a Crit'Air sticker 0, 1 or 2 will be authorized to circulate this Friday within the Low Emission Zone (ZFE) of the Lyon Metropolis. Please note that an exemption is in place for private cars carrying more than three people, exceptional convoys, passenger cars with drivers and taxis.

Among the other measures introduced: the speed is temporarily limited to 70km/h on roads usually limited to 80 or 90km/h.
