SENEGAL-EDUCATION-MEDIAS-TIC / “Numed Awards”, a technological platform serving education – Senegalese press agency

Dakar, January 17 (APS) – The Ministry of National Education and Télé-école, a school and student television channel, signed, Thursday, in Dakar, a partnership agreement for the launch of “Numed Awards” activities. , a platform aimed at putting new technologies and media at the service of education.

“Numed Awards” will be “a support framework to encourage innovation, excellence and collaboration in the educational field, through projects that contribute to the overall development of Senegal”, explained the Minister of National Education , Moustapha Mamba Guirassy, ​​during the signing ceremony.

He added that this partnership aims to “exploit new technologies through Tele-school and other media to guarantee expanded access to educational resources, even in the most remote areas of our country”.

According to him, “it is an extremely important convention in the context of the transformation of our education system”.

He says he is counting on “several families of actors to be members of this new educational society”.

“Numed Awards” is a platform which “will encourage actors in the ecosystem, digital, for better support of the education system”, explained the minister, stressing that this partnership aims to strengthen collaboration between public actors and private by promoting the emergence of lasting synergy between the ministry, Tele-school, other ministries concerned, private companies, NGOs among others.

The Director General of Télé-école, Assane Mboup, invited all stakeholders to invest fully in this project in order to “promote educational innovation by providing quality educational content adapted to the present and future needs of learners “.
