A garbage truck disrupts tram traffic in Brussels: “It took a little time”

Tram 8 traffic was disrupted in Brussels after a garbage truck found itself stuck on the tracks.

Tram 8 traffic in Brussels was complicated by a garbage truck this Friday morning. Via the orange Alert us button, Adriano sends us the photo of the vehicle on the rails, between the Roodebeek stop and Tram Museum.

Contacted, STIB denies a collision. “The truck entered the clean site and found itself blocked. It took a little while to get it out“, explains the spokesperson. During the intervention, the tram could not pass, replacement buses were therefore deployed.

Shortly before 9 a.m., the situation was already restored.

At the same time, another problem affected the Stib: metro traffic was interrupted between the Trône and Hôtel des Monnaies stops due to a technical problem at Louise. It was resolved shortly before 10 a.m. and traffic was able to resume.
