Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot. A musical comedy for the protection of bees

The teachers at Lycée Etienne-Restat know how to recognize the work of their students, not only by giving them good grades, but also by promoting their investment in important projects for the future of our planet.

Like for example Maëtitia Cibien (sociocultural education) and Anne Darnis-Costes (literature teacher), by presenting a show produced by high school students just before the Christmas holidays!

It is a very lively and particularly fun show that was offered to the public in order to raise awareness among young people about the protection of nature.

It was in the high school amphitheater, under the admiring gaze of students from the Lédat primary schools, but also from the Sainte-Marie school in Sainte-Livrade, that musical readings were given to them.

During this performance, second professional ABIL high school students (Food, Bio-industry and Laboratory) visited “our common cultural roots which are tales.

This sequence was followed by a sharing of their dreams for the future, within the natural environment that sustains us.

Perfectly supported by the storyteller Catherine Bohl, the director Katia Geins, the musician Roland Devocelle and the visual artist Stéphanie Gallon, the students were the actors of the project, from the choice of the text to the setting of the voice and the scenographic creation.

In the second part, the Bac Pro LCQ (Laboratory, quality control) terminals delighted the public with a musical exploring the crucial role of bees in the eco-system, and thus raise public awareness of the need for their protection.

The artistic contributors were very involved, particularly through the design of the costumes.

At the end of the show, acclaimed by the public, a snack was offered with, of course, honey offered by the Livradais school apiary and fruit juices produced by the Lycée's farm.
