The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita, received, Thursday in Rabat, the Director General of the African Union Development Agency (ADUA/NEPAD), Nardos Bekele-Thomas.
On this occasion, the two parties signed two agreements aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the AU Development Agency.
This is a Headquarters Agreement relating to the establishment of the ADUA-NEPAD National Office in the Kingdom of Morocco and a Framework Agreement for the promotion of development projects of common interest.
In a statement to the press following this signing ceremony, Bekele-Thomas praised Morocco’s commitment, guided by the Vision of King Mohammed VI, in favor of African integration and the Kingdom’s constant support for actions of the Agency.
In this regard, she stressed that the signing of these two agreements concretizes the Royal vision for Africa and Morocco’s commitment to the African Union and the AU Development Agency.
Indeed, the Framework Cooperation Agreement illustrates Morocco’s support for the development of the African continent, she noted, adding that ADUA-NEPAD will work in coordination with the Kingdom for the implementation of the AU Agenda 2063.
