The Seb group hopes to collect at least 20 million stoves by 2027.
Create the first global network for collecting and recycling used kitchen utensils, all brands combined. This is the objective stated by the SEB group which markets Tefal stoves manufactured in Rumilly near Annecy.
The group announced this Wednesday, January 15, 2025 the launch of a dedicated sector. From this first quarter of 2025, large-scale collection operations for old utensils will therefore be organized to allow users to drop off their old kitchen utensils, in partnership with the main major retail brands. A network of collection points in recycling centers and stores will also be developed.
These pans will then be sorted and recycled according to strict quality and safety standards, assures the group. Aluminum will be revalued in particular. Via this new sector, SEB hopes to collect at least 20 million stoves by 2027, which represents an announced total of 5,000 tonnes of aluminum. SEB is committed to producing 60% of its new pans with recycled aluminum within 2 years.
