In a statement to journalists, Igor Petrichenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), stressed the need to fully exploit the potential of possible free trade zone agreements with third countries, including the Morocco.
The EAEU actively continues its commercial expansion by signing agreements with various international partners. Morocco, as a key partner in the region, is part of the ongoing negotiations for a free trade agreement with the EAEU, alongside other countries such as Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates and the Tunisia.
This rapprochement demonstrates Morocco’s growing interest in the economic prospects offered by the EAEU with a view to strengthening trade and diversifying its international partnerships. More than thirty countries have already expressed their desire to conclude similar agreements.
