THE Reading nights will take place everywhere in France between January 23 and 26 next. Activities aimed at promoting reading will be held in particular in different cultural places in La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime), on Saturday January 25.
This is the ninth edition of this event which this year will be dedicated to Heritage. There Villeneuve-les-Salines media library will be fully mobilized for this event.
From 3 p.m., on the square in front of the media library, a participatory dance will be open to the public. This dance will be followed at 4 p.m. by an illumination workshop to be done as a family.
At the same time, in the youth area of the media library, texts on naval adventures will be read to children.
-In the entertainment room, a show will be offered to children between 3 and 10 years old. It was directed and choreographed by the Théia Company.
Entertainment planned until 8:45 p.m.
Between 5 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., numerous activities and workshops are planned at the Villeneuve-les-Salines media library in La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime).
These activities will be accessible to all age categories. Here is the program for this evening.
- 17 h : dramatized reading carried out by the media library team at the Youth Space
- 17 h : traveling and instant film photography produced by Camille Magara from studiopichet at Espace adulte
- 17 h 00-18 h 00 : Balbuciné workshops, at the origins of cinema. Cabinet of curiosities allowing you to discover and experiment with the first attempts at animating images.
- 18 h 00-18 h 30 : matrimonial readings, a legacy of inspiring women
- 18 h 00-18 h 30 : phosphorescent readings of books and stories that reveal themselves in the dark.
- 18 h 30-19 h 00 : readings in world languages
- 19 h 00-19 h 30 : dramatized readings
- 19 h 45-20 h 45 : Concert led by Arnold.
