Morocco in the group’s Top 10 markets in 2024

The group’s sales in Morocco reached 67,686 vehicles last year, representing a local market share of 38.4%, notes the manufacturer in a press release.

This market share is the highest among the Renault group’s 15 main global markets, according to the same source.

Overall, Renault’s global sales amounted to 2,264,815 vehicles in 2024, up 1.3% compared to 2023, benefiting from its launches of new models and the continuation of its offensive in the electric segment.

remains, by far, its leading market with 541,795 units sold in 2024, ahead of Italy (205,423) and Turkey (167,262). Followed by Spain (149,697), Germany (144,586), Brazil (139,214) and the United Kingdom (121,711).

In Europe, the group grew twice as much as the market, with sales up 3.5%.

“With 1,599,051 vehicles sold, Renault Group is on the podium of automobile manufacturers with Sandero the best-selling car across all channels,” notes the manufacturer.

Sales of hybrid vehicles in the Old Continent increased by 45% to represent 25.5% of the group’s sales, or 7.5 points more than in 2023. Electric vehicles represented 9% of total sales in Europe, including 12% in the fourth quarter.

Retail sales in Europe contributed more than 63% of the group’s sales, with four models in the top ten in this category.

Internationally, Renault is recording growth in markets where new models have been launched.

“Thanks to Kardian, the brand is growing by 10.3% in Brazil and 7.2% in Morocco,” underlines the group.

Renault has also indicated that it will launch seven vehicles in 2025 to support the electrification offensive in Europe and gain market share in its key regions.
